This
kit is part of the new series released in Australia in April 2008.
Distinguishing features from 165KR are:
(a)
two-ohm impedance, to match the OEM amplifiers of many imported cars
(b)
phase plugs
The
two-ohm impedance will not present any problems when used with any
modern amplifier or high-powered head unit in a conventional 4-ohm
system.
The
phase plugs give additional clarity and resolution to the midrange.
This
kit will deliver outstanding sound-quality. Focal build speakers with
sound quality as the principal aim, their research team is not
controlled by the sales department. This speaker kit will no doubt be a
proud successor to the 165K2P which won the 2007 Sound and Image Awards
for Car Loudspeaker of the Year, and its predecessor 165KX which won the
