FOCAL-JM Lab is one of the world's most respected loudspeaker manufacturers, with 25 years experience and no less than twelve international patents in speaker design and driver technology.  Focal innovations include dual voice-coils, multi-layer cone material and inverted dome tweeters.

The factory is located in France, at Saint-Etienne near Lyon, and produces both home speakers and car speakers. Most of the components used in Focal speakers are made in-house, giving Focal engineers the ability to quickly implement new ideas. 

Focal car speakers have won numerous industry awards, include the European EISA Loudspeaker of the Year Award, and five prestigious Australian Sound and Image Awards for 'Car Loudspeaker of the Year'.

Many components are still hand-made in the Focal factory, like the multi-layer cones in the K2P and Utopia range.

Australian extended warranty offer:

three year warranty on Focal speakers and amplifiers applies to equipment purchased after 1st July 2007. This extended warranty is provisional that the equipment was installed by an authorised Australian Focal dealer. Standard one-year warranty applies otherwise. Triple your warranty, get your Focal gear fitted when you buy it.

Warning: Imitation copies of Focal speakers are being sold over the internet and in some discount stores in Australia. Some look convincingly like the real thing, and the vendors vow and promise that these are genuine Focal speakers which come from the Focal factory. Do not buy Focal products on the internet. For example, the 165V1 currently advertised in Hong Kong on eBay for about $100 are definitely fakes. We purchased and tested a set, they look great and sound awful.

Even if you find a genuine set somewhere you will have no warranty because Focal warranty does not apply to speakers trans-shipped between countries. Australian dealers are listed on the Focal Dealers page of this website. They have been trained to provide advice and installation skills to support our products.

Buy genuine, buy from an Australian dealer and get what you pay for.
